Local Attractions

The White Cottage Bed & Breakfast is situated in the picturesque Axe Valley, an area of outstanding natural beauty near the Devon and Dorset border, under 3 miles from the Jurassic Coast, a World Heritage Site.
The scenic town of Lyme Regis and the Regency town of Sidmouth are less than 15 minutes drive, whilst the beautiful historic fishing town of Beer is just 5 minutes away.

Popular with families, walkers and cyclists, Colyton is also known as the most rebellious town in Devon for its role in the Monmouth Rebellion in 1685. 
Colyton has a wide range of amenities, including pubs, cafes, a butcher, fishmonger, general store with post office, garden shop, pet accessories shop, pharmacy and cycle shop. The focal point of the town is the Church of St Andrew, established in Norman times.
Other places of interest are the Blackbury Honey farm and Colyton Heritage Centre. There's even local bike-hire if you want to go further afield.

Nearby Attractions

Seaton is 5 minutes by car with good shopping, beach, water-sports and the local tramway.
Axminster, Branscombe, Lyme Regis and Sidmouth are all within a 20 minute drive. Enjoy busy shopping centres and beaches or a quiet stroll in picturesque surroundings. Beer is 15 minutes away and makes a fabulous day out with a beach, coastal walks, green spaces, a museum and places to eat.
You can take the family to Crealy Park or the Donkey Sanctuary, enjoy Axe-Cliff golf course, local horse-riding, cycle-ways and canoeing. For more sedate adventures there are beautiful walks, a bird-watching sanctuary and the many local pubs and restaurants.
